The Rejected Blind Luna: Story & Stakes

The situation at the start

Ace Turns Blindness Into a Public Disqualification

In this brief prologue, the narrator recognizes a mate through scent while an Alpha demands eye contact and treats her blindness as a reason to reject her. His public judgment equates disability with worthlessness rather than discovering anything about her abilities. In these opening paragraphs, his commands and public insults establish an unequal encounter, making the reader's attention to the narrator's own sensory experience a counterweight to the value judgment he tries to impose.
